Pole Dancers of San Francisco, featuring Karri Mae Becker!

Karri Mae Becker is a tour de force. A woman with many hats, Karri runs and manages Crunch gyms across the Bay Area, teaches 3+ classes a week including her signature class, Hottt Seat! at San Francisco Pole and Dance on Wednesday nights, is a mother to two puppies, the owner of internationally renowned lyra certification program, Cirque Fit, and a new aerial competition, Aerial Arts Association, coming to the Bay Area this March!

On this episode of the podcast, I sit down to talk with Karri about growing up in rural Wisconsin, and how she trained from a young age as a volunteer firefighter. Karri and I go deep as she talks about how she discovered pole and how it changed her marriage and her life. She tells us about her background owning and running a Pole Pressure franchise in Washington D.C. and how she made the decision to come West and follow love.

This conversation with Karri covers lots of ground – everything from the challenges of commercial real estate in San Francisco, to supporting a loved one through cancer treatments, to how she trains for competitions and her philosophy to teaching. Karri leaves us with a simple message: love yourself, be a badass, and just push through.
